What home means to me

To me, home means a place that you can come back to every day. A place where you can relax, be yourself, and be happy. It’s a place to survive undisturbed and enjoy every moment whether it’s with your family, pets, or even alone. A home is a place to sleep soundly and not have to worry about ‘’what if I get kicked out’’ or ‘’oh no, I don’t have enough money to stay at a hotel’’. No matter who or where you are, we all need a home, a place to live, since, we are all humans and we all need homes, don’t we? it’s not like anyone can survive without a home, and none of us want to be in that position; it’s awful, and you’ll feel horrible. Your whole life will flip and shatter into a million little pieces of sadness and regret that haunt you. If one can be kind to a person with less privilege, that might just be what helps the person pick up those shattered pieces and glue them all back together. Here are some things that we can do: donate, help people who need it, because we can all spare a dollar or two, can’t we? If everybody donated a dollar, many people could and would get a home. I think everybody deserves a home, so give them a second chance: be the shining light in the eternal darkness that guides them to a fresh start, because it can’t hurt anyone to try- it can only help.
