A PLACE I CALL HOME

A place I call home is not just a pile of bricks, frankly your home doesn’t need to have four walls and a roof, that's a house. I’ll explain the difference between a home and a house. Home is a place where you feel comfortable. Let me tell you what home is to me. In the summer, enjoying an ice cream sitting on the couch until my mom tells me to go sit at the dinner table. Anyway, enough of my mom as soon as I sit down at the table, it’s my brother Max who pounces next. He takes the ice-cream and takes a big bite. I snitched on Maxwell to dad. Home in the summer also means to me playing outside with my friends from dawn until dusk. In spring, home means to me smelling the sweet smelling flowers…and getting stung by bees on the nose. Spring also means watching the butterflies emerge from their safe cocoon and flying away. When I see this, it reminds me of home and how quickly I rush outside to go play with my friends. In the fall, it means raking leaves because my mom tells me to…but I'm only human so, of course I have to jump in them. In the fall, it also means to me enjoying fresh cinnamon hot chocolate burning my tongue. In the winter, it means listening to my grandparents tell stories about their past experiences in winter. It also reminds me of Christmas Eve prayers with my family. Then, the next morning springing up like a trampoline from bed screaming, “It’s Christmas!!!” Ah yes, so I’m asking you to spread that joy and good things will come. So, what do you say, my cheerful chum?
