What Home Means to Me

To me, a house is a roof over your head, but that doesn't mean it's home. You could have a house, but that doesn't mean it's your home. Home is where your loved ones are, not a house. So, today I'm writing about what home means to me. Home means celebrating Chrstmas, from a family dinner to waiting patiently for Santa to come down the chimney. Home, to me, is where we go on adventures and get together for those adventures. Home is where we eat home cooked meals: Mom, Dad, Sister, Me - Everyone! Anyone! In my home we celebrate Polish traditions. A culture is a very important thing in a home. Without it, who would we be? Without it, my home wouldn't be the same. During the summer, I help my mom plant her vegetable garden and plant her flowers. We go shopping for flowers every year. My home isn't just my biological family. It could be a stepdad or stepmom or a close friend like my best friend, Milly. She feels like family. Last year we made a new tradition to go to the Harrow Fair every year. Home means to always be honest. If you are not, things could fall apart pretty fast. When you form a home, you form a shape. Each person is a corner. Every house has a different shape depending on how many corners there are. Once your shape is formed, it becomes pretty indestructable. My home's shape is a square: Mom, Dad, Sister and me! I don't know what I'd do if my square broke. Home to me means having a family who loves you. The concludes my essay on what home means to me.
