The Meaning of Home

Did you know that a lot of people in our community don’t have a home?I think that’s a problem.I think everyone has a right to have a place to feel safe in.A house is more than just structure.It is a place for lots of memories and fun times. A home is somewhere you feel safe,somewhere where you have a community and lots of memories.One of the amazing things about having a home is the people you meet who become some of your best friends.My family and I like to go on trips witch means we have to leave my cat’s home alone but some of are good neighbors offer to look after are cat's.You know that even if it’s having your cousin over to play it’s still a memories that you will remember for a long time.In my house I still remember every Christmas I had and all the unique traditions that my family has, like every other year my grandparents come over to open presents with my family.I just talked about all those memories but also taking a video or picture to make sure you remember is a great way to watch them whenever you want.I remember when I got my cat’s I was so happy and my Mom took a video so now I can watch that all over again. One of the best things is that once you have a home you can get stuff for yourself.Some of my favorite things in my home are the stuffies that my Great Grandmother gave to my mom and then gave to me.I also love all of the blankets my Nana made for me when I was young.I love my animals so much and they are my best friends.My two cat’s love to sleep with me.They love to jump from our cat tree to my bed on the top bunk and then just fall asleep on my pillows and blankets.They are seriously the people that will cheer me up.Another great thing about having a home is there is always someone there or willing to come over to your house.Like if me or my siblings get sick my aunt or grandparents will always come over.Also if you have a pet they will love you the most. I think everyone deserves a home because everyone should be able to make creative decisions for there place to live.Everyone should have an opportunity to host a special family event or have a pet or do what they want with their home.I could not imagine what my life would be like without a home.I would probably do whatever I could to help my family get out of the position that my family was in because I need my privacy and special moments in my life.I also think that by having a house makes you learn things that you wouldn’t learn without having a home like putting up a Christmas tree.I think that home means family in terms of having those moments where you feel like you’ve worked so hard to get to. Home is something you should care about.You should want to live in your house.Everyone deserves a place to put there stuff and have celebration’s.You can do more than you think.Hopefully after reading this there are less people in our community without a home.Thanks for making a difference.
