What Home Means To Me

Home can mean a lot of different things for different people But for me it is… Sibling rival Play fighting about who gets what, Or talking loudly so our parents hear us. Home is being strong when it’s most tough, Like one of my Nonno’s who was lucky enough, He lived a great life fighting for Italy Even when his plane got shot down he rebuilt it without a doubt, I believe that's why he survived WW2 Home is my dog Rocco His wet kisses are funny, He makes me feel safe with his furry coat Sometimes he is a cozy blanket lying on my lap, If he was a human he would have the cutest laugh Home is about feeling safe and where love is at its most, My family is special like every other family out there We have special bonds We forgive and forget our mistakes, Family is love Home is like soccer Mostly because we are a team, But we also play soccer all together and all our worries go away When I kick the ball I feel free When I play in the morning the wet grass get on me and my ball Home is having a Home, When you need to go somewhere…. That could be your place Home is where you live, And I think everyone should have a home or a place Thank you Habitat For Humanity for giving homes to people who need it.
