What home means to me

Searching “home” in the dictionary, its meaning is wide. For everyone it means many things. For me, Home has three major meanings: where my family/loved ones are, where I can express myself with all kinds of emotions, and where love is care. My family means the people that take care of me and look after me. They are my parents, who are working hard every day to pay for all my needs. They raised me to be who I am today and they will support me until I leave the “nest”. Secondly, I can express myself at home because of three major reasons. Firstly, I can express myself because there are people around me that are willing to listen. Secondly, I can express myself because I’m in my own home. Lastly, I can express my emotions because in my home there are my memories which connect to my emotions, because I have memories of crying, laughing, happiness and lots more. Lastly, in my home, love is care because we are taking care of each other. From our culture's point of view, the parents need to take care of their child even after they move out. Love is care because when someone loves you that means that they are willing to stay by your side and take care of you through better or worse. To sum up, home means where your life is filled up with love and care, where you can be mad and sad, full of joy and happiness, and as a kid my life is easy, where mom and dad are there with open arms for everything. It does not matter if it is a house of clay, bricks, wood or brackets, it is the place where you are covered with love, and feel safe any time.
