Home of Joy

Home is the most important place in my life because it's a place where I can feel safe, do the things I love, and see the things I love. A home is a place where I can feel safe and comfortable during an emergency. It is where I can smell my mom's cooking and my food being prepared. I also love to smell my mom's famous peanut butter cookies and her baked goods. I smell my cows, pigs, chickens, squirrels, and cats because we live on a farm. Home is a place where I can make lots of memories. For my brother's birthday, we went to Canada’s Wonderland, and on other birthdays we went to Niagara Falls to celebrate. My sister and I are only one day apart for our birthdays so we have to share every year. Home is a place where I get the ability to hear the laughter and chatter of my family. I get to listen to my favorite shows and movies. A home is a place where I can feel happiness from my family's joy. A home is a place where I can do things I love, like playing catch with my siblings. I get to enjoy myself in the fields in my yard, especially when there is corn planted and we play scream, and hide in the field. I also really like to go into my pet pig pen and we play fetch. I take lots of walks around my farm and even walk my cat, Bob. It's really fun to go out into my barnyard and just look. Home is a place where I can see lots of different things and enjoy the times outside. That's why home is so important to me.
