What Home Means to Me

Home is where the heart is, It helps you to unwind. Helps to make you happy, When you don’t feel good inside. A home can be anything, A house, a forest, a tree. Maybe even a river, A lake, a beach, the sea. A home is more precious Than silver or a gemstone, Home is where you’ll go If you feel alone. A home can hold many, One, or two, or three. A home can hold eleven, Or twelve, thirteen or fourteen They can be your family, Your friends, your pets, your peers. Whoever is important, Who saves you from your tears. Or you could live alone, Away from sound and stress. Your mind finally at peace, The noise from lots to less. A home gives memories, Memories that you can share. Memories that you can look back on If you’re in despair. But a home must be important, Regardless of how it’s seen. There’s a home for everyone, Including you and me.
