Meaning of Home

Many people ask, “What is home?” For me, home is the place where your memories are kept. Home is where I learned, played, and where I was loved. I think of it as my family, or the ones that loved and took care of me. It is where lessons were taught, and where memories were made. Other people think of home as the place where they can rest and help other family members. It could also be a place to find time to work and keep minds focused. I would like to share the meaning of home with you. Home is a place where it spreads the memories of the past. An example would be when I had my 5th birthday. My 5th birthday was my best birthday party, since it was with all of my friends and family! On that birthday, my mother took a picture of me and put the picture in my room. Now, whenever I see the picture it reminds me of the amazing birthday party I had. Home is also a place where you are with your family and friends. It doesn’t matter how big the house is, it matters how big the family is in the house, which I call home. Though my mother’s house in India was pretty small, it still had a big family in it which made my mother feel happy. Finally, home is the place where I will decide my future. When I grow up, I will have to decide what I want to do for my career. So I will have to make the decision and then go away from home and start my career. But don’t think that I will never find family again, because at some point I will. Home is where I stay happy, relaxed, and calm. It helps me both ways, mentally and physically. Although I may be sad, I still think of my past and how I will decide my future. Home is where you can see both, the past and the future.
