When I walk back from school, everything is dark The trees are empty, no leaves or bark. No people walking or waving “hi” When I walk back from school the trees seem too high. But a feeling takes over my body Something that is warm and homey. I see my home, a place where I can breathe and spill my worries. All I smell is the different curries It fills the air like the sun that shimmers on the fields. The walls in my house are like a million shields, My secrets are safe but still our happiness spreads Around the world through the towns and beds. When I get home the barking of my dog doesn’t bother me Today, it just seems like the waves in the sea. My house is definitely not the best But we always have to call over guests. Before they come, we sweep and clean, We treat them like the king and queen. And when they leave we stretch and clean again. Our home is as cozy as a bear’s den. That is my HOME…
