What Home Means to Me

Home isn’t a sturcture Home isn’t a house Home is a feeling Home is a place Where you can be free Home is a place where you Can play, sleep and scream Home is a place where you are welcome Home is a place where you are safe Home is full of family and friends That will stay with you to the end In a home you can also have pets Cats, dogs and rabbits Them making noise will become a habit But you’ll get used to it and that noise will be welcoming In a home you can have brothers and sisters You can play and fight with them too When your with them it makes you smile too Sometimes they might be a pain but they can also be a friend Home can be anywhere In a house or an apartment But where ever you live you can’t call it home if you live all alone A home can be small A home can be big A home could have a basement A home can have another floor But if you don’t like it Don’t call it your home Even if your home is as big as a dome In a home you celebrate wins You forget about the losses You dance and prance You scream and shout But one day you must leave your home and I know it sucks Take a few pictures with you to remember the good times But don’t worry you’ll find a new home And if you have family and friends with you it’ll be your home for sure and that’s the truth.
