What Home Means To Me

Ahhh! Right now, I am drinking hot chocolate on a cold frosty day sitting in my home. I love my home because it protects me from rain, snow, hail and the heat. The most important part of home is my family because they support me no matter what and they are always there for me. Me and my family do fun stuff together like play Snakes and Ladders, UNO and Hangman. We also built a 1000 piece puzzle on the Christmas holidays. Me and my family watch movies every friday in our cozy home while eating popcorn. While I have the comfort of my home there are many people who don’t have homes. My heart goes out for such people and I know that a lot of people are dying because they don’t have protection of their home. I want everybody to have a home because I want them to feel safe, supported, and loved. It’s not only humans who have homes, animals have homes too. Wild animals like foxes, lions and tigers live in dens; birds have nests and ants live in antholes. Animals depend on their homes just like we do. But unfortunately animals are losing their habitat because of climate change and human activity. For me, the home is not just the place where we stay; but our Mother Earth itself is a big home to humans, animals and trees. And how lucky we all are to call such a beautiful planet our home!!! Let’s try our best to protect our planet and our future.
