My Home

A Home A home is where you feel most at home. Where you feel safe. Where you feel loved and cared for. When you are at your home you shouldn't feel scared, you should feel happy and secure. Some people don't have the luxury of having a house but that doesn't mean they don't have a home. Everyone has a home. I know that because a home isn't a structure, or a roof over your head. A home isn´t an object or a toy. A home is a feeling. A home is your family or your pet. A home is where you learned how to chew with your mouth closed or where you learned how to ride a bike. A home is special. A house isn´t. That is how I know that everyone has a home. A home doesn't need to be big. Some people think that to have a huge house it makes you have a huge home, but that's not true. A home doesn't even need to be your own house. It just needs to be where you feel happy and safe and loved. A home is where you have memories, whether is with family or friends, pets or toys. The structure of your home might not always be there, but the memories are engraved and won't ever leave. A home is yours, its where you, can be you without anyone telling you to be someone else that you're not. At your home you will always be welcome. At your home you are free to come and go as you please. And no one will tell you leave. A home can be a house or an apartment, a boat or a tent. That is what a home is to me.
