The meaning of home

A home is not just a shelter, it is so much more. Home is where memories are created, and where laughter fills the air. Home is a safe place for family to gather. It is where children play, and adults entertain. Home is a place that is created by love. I love that when I get home from school my dog is always waiting at the door for me. He wags his tail and then licks me on the face. Whenever someone in my family is gone for a long time, I’m always happy to see them again. I love that when I walk in the kitchen I smell fresh baked banana bread, fresh from the oven. When I’m at a friend`s house or at a sleepover, I’m always happy to come back home. All I know is that not everyone’s home looks the same and not everyone has a home. But I am lucky to have the home I have with my family.
