Meaning of Home

What home means to me is a place where I can relax and not worry about stuff, but outside of home I have stuff to worry about, people to worry about. What I feel at home is love and relief of what is going on outside of home. When I am at home, I think about people who don’t have a home and I pray for them to have a roof over their heads and food to eat, and I am so grateful that I have that. What makes a house a home are the people inside it, if there are no people inside it, it is just beams and wood. What I hear inside my home is the doors opening and closing and the floorboards creaking, and I love the sound of it. What I smell in my home is something cooking in the kitchen and fresh air because we have the windows open a lot. What I taste at home is pine because we live near a forest, and I love it. That is the meaning of home for me. Thank you to Habitat for humanity for making homes for people in need!
