The Meaning of Home

Home means something different to everyone, and this is what it means to me. Home is a place where you can feel safe. For me I normally enjoy it most when it is silent and fresh air and sunlight is flowing through the open windows. Outside I can hear chickadees singing and the distant clucking of my chickens. Inside, the furnace hums occasionally or my dog barks and you can hear a faint conversation. After school, it feels good to lean into a throw pillow and read. I always see little chicken shaped baskets around the house along with teak furniture and lounging chairs. Sometimes the word “home” is referred to not a place, but a feeling, and I think that it can be either one because you can be at home and feel at home at the same time. Home can be inside or outside, big or small,Home feels happy, safe and cozy. That is the meaning of home to me! The End!
