The Meaning of Home

‘Home’ is not a place, but a feeling - the feeling of knowing that no matter what happens, you will always love, and be loved by, the people around you. Of knowing you’ll always have someone to help with anything, whether it be with trying not to burn the eggs, or figuring out a problem with the bird feeder you made (almost) by yourself. ‘Home’ is the amazing memories, and the bond between you and your family. When I think of home, I think of family dinners at Christmas, making applesauce in the fall, playing board games in front of the fireplace, and drawing with my mama over a cup of tea. All of these memories take place in our house, but it’s these very memories that make our house our home. ‘Home’ is the bond of deep, unconditional love that you share with your family - whenever you are together, you are at home.
