What Home Means to Me

Did you know that 35,000 individuals do not have a house in Canada and in the world 1.8 billion people do not have a house today. My home has provided me with safety, playing with family, and is where I am most loved by my family. Home is a place where you are supposed to feel safe. At home I have a bed so I can sleep in comfort with a blanket and a pillow. The only way I can feel safe is due to my parents working all day to afford my bed, food, and water, all the things that are needed to keep me alive. This feeling of safety feels like I am loved and loved a lot by my family. Home is also a place where I have played. At your home you play with your loving siblings and parents, for example Monopoly. My parents spend money that tells us that they love us a lot and they spend money to get us games to keep us entertained. This feeling of playing makes me feel special and happy. Lastly, my home is a place where I am loved. I fell in love with my parents’ warm hugs in my room before bed. Their arms are so soft, so it feels like an ultra-soft blanket. Now that feeling of love feels the best of all. That's what home means to me. Just to make you guys remember I talked about loving because of my parent's hugs, safety because I have a bed to sleep in, and play because I have family to play with.
