What Home Means to Me

Out of 10,000 men, 22 are homeless, while 13 out of 10,000 women are homeless. What is being done about it? I want everybody to have a house provided with comfort, shelter, safety and learn life skills. I want everyone to have a place to call “mine” and a place to love. Home is a place where you are supposed to be safe. At home I feel safe because there I have my parents who are there to love and protect me. They do this by working all day to provide food on the table for me. If home is a food, it would be hot chocolate, if it is an object, it would be a warm bed and if it were people, it would be my family. Home is not a place, it is a feeling, a feeling of comfort. At my home I stay warm, never hungry and sleep in a very comfortable bed. Your parents are there for you, if you need help, they will help you and if you get hurt or sick, they will care for you. Home is like sunshine after the rain. At home I learn how to live. At home I learn how to skate, ride a bike, cook and do homework. In my home I learn how to cook a cake, ride a scooter, skate, and my parents are there to help me. Home is like a school, a school of life. Even though everyone lives in a different home, no matter who lives with you, home will always be a place to love. I want everybody to have a place to live and call home with comfort, safety and the ability to learn life skills.
