Difference Between a Home and a House

A house is a building with four walls and a roof that is all: no laughter, no crying, no smiling, no loving. A house is a place where the only ones you are heard by are the silent walls. There are always feelings that are not meant to be felt in a house. It does not matter how bright you paint it or how bright you try to make it seem, no one in there feels bright. However, a home is different. A home is a place that is internally alive and never quiet, with chatter and grinning teeth coming from every inch of that place. A home is a place where you feel safe. A place where you feel comfortable being yourself. A place that is filled with people that make you happy. A place where you don’t have to worry about fighting monsters under your bed or outside alone. Somewhere that you can always turn to. A home can be someone you love, your mom, dad, uncle, aunt, or even yourself. The definition of home is not just a building. It is somewhere or someone that you feel safe with when there. A home is not a place where it is always happy, like a fairytale. Sometimes in a home, there could be a bickering family or siblings arguing. However, this is what makes it a home. A home is a place where you know that you will go through thick and thin. However, you also know that in the end, everything will be just alright, and you can sleep with a peaceful mind. One thing that is for sure is that people who have a loving home are very lucky because some people don’t have a home. Only a house…….
