Home

Home is where your heart is and so you don’t have to be physically in your house to be at home. For example, my family has two houses in Canada and 3 houses in China that we live in. But, home is when we are all together. Home means feeling secure, feeling free to express my feelings and celebrating family traditions. Firstly, feeling safe is important to me. Safe means feeling physically protected so that no harm can barge through our doors. Safe also means that I have people that I can talk to in my family about anything. Also, home means being free to express myself. For example, if there’s a situation at school that is bothering me, I know I can tell my mom about it. It’s important to me that there’s someone just listening to me, not just solving my problem. Lastly, celebrating family traditions at home is special. For example, there is Chinese New Year, birthdays, Christmas, and Valentine’s Day, etc.. Most of my favorite traditions involve FOOD… Which I love. Afterall, to me, home is where the heart is.
