Home Sweet Home

Home is a place where I feel safe, calm, loved and cared for. I know the warm inviting smell of my mom or dad cooking in the kitchen. Or when we cuddle in the living room by a blazing fire.I can hear the sound of the door opening to sound the arrival of my sister, mom, or dad. I can be goofy and weird without feeling judged at all. I hear my cats purring with joy and see my room waiting for me beckoning me to bed. Playing in the front yard with glee I can see snow forts calling to me. We play hearts all the time at the dining room table.For a fun activity we do as a family when it's cold .My family is all I need and I love and support it. Home is not just a place but it has people, smells, food, feelings and warmth. I know I can always go home to love and encouragement, a fresh meal or a hot calming mug with a cat beside me. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for giving kids across Canada this wonderful chance to change peoples lives.
