Home to me does not just mean a roof over my head or one big house To some people it does but no not me Home to me does mean two roofs over my head two beds and two rooms and a family to see And warmth as pure as your heart It also means switching back and forth between houses all the time as half of my family is apart Home to me does mean two Christmases and two chimney fires But it's not about the gifts or the whos it's about the family Home to me does not mean getting everything all the time To some it does, people think it's great and fine, but no, not me Home means having a family to see as pure as the heart I'm sure you'll see Also some people think because I have two different houses I get to use two different stoves or even four as they see But no, just because I have two houses, it's really not about that Home being a special place to admire and to sleep when you're tired It's also about the family because home is a place that brings a loving family together Even though I might have a stepmom or step dad or don't get to see all my siblings on the same day Because I'm at different houses each day Roses are red, violets are blue You should love the family that is there for you It also means at the end of the day I still get all snuggled up in a big cozy blanket with my family At each house every night and we fall asleep on the couch at midnight
