What Home Means To Me

A home is not about the roof, it is about the love. Not the stairs, brick, walls or the rooms, it's about the memories and emotions. You should feel safe, comfort, love, joy, peace, cared for and protected. A place where you have laughter and conversations. When you have a bad day and feel like there's a lot of judgment ,when you're lonely, you want to get away from reality, you step into your house, your head clears, you feel calm and relaxed. You see rainbows and butterflies not thunder and lightning, no anger and no stress. I feel relieved and welcomed. No one is judging me and giving me looks .I feel happy knowing that my home is filled with family. Memories is a word and also a feeling. They are like your name you will never forget, also you own them and no one can take them. I feel myself in my home. I can smell the essential oils all over my house and it makes me feel comfortable. I can lay down and relax and watch action movies with ice cream and popcorn. Go to the barn and play with the pigs, cats and chickens too. Go skating and fishing and swimming in the pond. We are all so busy in my house but we always find time to do things together. Home is where I feel tired and hear my mom singing to me. It's where I feel creative and my dad is doing art with me. Home is where I feel silly and goof around with my sister. When I feel sad, my little brother makes me happy. Home is when I feel confused or need help and my brother helps me. Home is special to everyone including me.
