What Home Means to Me

Home is not a place, it’s a feeling. Home is not only a building or a street or a layer of bricks. Home is a place where me and my family spend time together. We sit and laugh and share love together and build strong emotional ties that can help me overcome life’s challenges. Home is a place where I celebrate holidays with friends and my family like Christmas and Halloween. Home is a place where I feel safe. Home is a place where me and my sister play and share stories. Home is a safe place and a comfort zone for me. In my house, me and my sister run and play in the backyard every weekend while my mom cooks us our special food. Home is a place where we build memories and take pictures. It’s a place where we can truly just be ourselves. I see the four seasons in my house spring, summer, fall and winter. Each season has its own lights and decoration in my home. There are no words that can describe my home. The love of a family is life’s blessing. Home is not only a place where I eat and sleep but it’s a feeling where love, memories are created, and friends always belong, and happiness never ends. Thank you habitat for humanity for all you do.
