The True Meaning of Home

The meaning of home is a lot of things. Home isn’t just a place; it can be a person, smell, sight, or really anything. To some people, the meaning of home could be their house and for others it can be where their families are. The meaning of home can be memories, a childhood, and a safe space, while for others it can be a painful and hurtful place. Everyone has their own home and what they think home can mean to them. Lots of feelings and emotions happen at home, wherever that may be. When I imagine home, I think of a warm safe space to cozy up in, watch Youtube and to be at peace. Sometimes that isn’t always the case though. Sometimes home can hurt and have pain. Waking up in the morning isn’t always the best, but then I remember how lucky I am to even have a bed to sleep on. With all the good and bad memories, what is the true meaning of home? The answer is, home can be whatever or whoever you make it. And that, to me, is the true meaning of home.
