Home
The less fortunate deserve a place to stay, somewhere with a roof over their head, to keep them warm, because some homeless people and less fortunate people live in tents on the street or on the street with nothing.
Did you know there are 150,000 - 300,000 homeless people in Canada?
What does home mean to me? Home means somewhere you can be safe and have loving people care for you. Most housing is hard to buy in Canada because the pricing range is so high. Then there’s inflation, the cost of raising kids, food, and bills for heating, and water bills. If you don't buy, rent can cost a lot more. And some people that can't afford rent get evicted.
Habitat for Humanity Canada help people by donating and producing houses for much lower costs. Sometimes these people are struggling with the cost of living and the houses as donations. Since 1985 they have helped over 4,309 families in Canada to have an affordable place to stay.
Habitat for Humanity Canada is a great organization. I’m grateful that they help.
