What is a Home?

Home is a place It's a place where I feel loved A place where I can hug It's a place full of memories Happy and sad Thankful and glad Cranky and rad It's a place full of feelings Tired and angry Safe and satisfied Worried and afraid Home is a place, but it won't always stay still For some its a car a truck a windowsill You might use a tent as you travel afar Pack it up by sunrise and lay down at sunset Maybe you like to be tidy maybe you fret When you're room is a mess or the front hall is tracked with mud Wherever you’re home is whatever it may be If you love where you live it's a home It could be a place stuffed with stuffies or snacks It may be a hut with a large screen tv Or it could be simpler than that It could be just a place any place filled with family and friends and people who love you I know that's what it is for me! For some people it's the what there home is For others what’s important is where there home is But no matter where or what it is, every home is different Maybe you have a house in a small town Maybe an apartment in a city But no matter how common where you live is, every home is special because of the people inside Your home reflects your personality It tells people who you are For that is the meaning of home
