The Feelings of Home

When I think of home the first thing that comes to mind is what I feel, home is a place in my heart full of laughter and memories, home has happiness and sadness but most importantly love. When I’m in my home I feel safe, it's like my home is holding me in a nice warm hug. My bed is always warm when I get in it and I never want to get out, it's so cozy and I always think of my family when I’m in it. If my home has a roof over my head and a lock on my door my home feels safe and comfortable. Safety is very important in a home. Memories with the people I love turn a house into a home. One year my family and I made cupcakes for Valentine's Day. And another year we went all the way to Sault Ste Marie! But one of my favourite memories is from when my friend and I ate dinner together outside on my deck. All homes have memories. Love holds a home together like glue. In a home if someone does something wrong they will always be forgiven because a home is full of love. We pay with hugs and kisses and we love each other to pieces. Love is the most important part of a home. If safety is the roof and memories are the furniture then the walls are full of love in a home. If you ask a bunch of people what home means to them everyone’s answer will be different but, no matter your answer a home is the most important part of your life.
