Meaning of Home

Home is a place where the smell of my Mom’s chicken and rice, sends us to the kitchen, home is nice. And we take it for granted every step we take, like the smell of my Mom’s beautiful Chocolate Cake. When she bakes it for goodness sake, the smell of it makes my bones shake. Home is where I feel happy going into the pool on my slide, but home is more than that, it’s what I feel inside. Home is not just a building, with walls that close us tight, it’s the love and the laughter that we enjoy and cherish and share each night. Home is when in the middle of the summer my mom starts to cook, while I'm sitting on the couch outside reading my book. Home is where I can feel safe sitting on my chair, while the wind from the A/C blows through my hair. Home is where I feel sadness, comfort, and pain, home is where the only thing I can hear is my dad watching a hockey game. Home is where I can lay in my bed and watch all my favorite movies, my home to me has nearly endless possibilities. Home is where me and my family feel the most free, and that is what home truly means to me.
