Meaning of Home

Do you think that you know someone that does not have a home? Everyone has a home. It might not be physical like brick walls and roof but a home has its own place and even its own people. A home is wherever you are helping your mom with dinner, your brother sets the table, your father went grocery shopping. You are sitting next to your mom and she is teaching you how to roll the dough and put the toppings on the pizza. A home is a caring place when you are sick and not feeling well. Your parents try as much as they could to make you feel better, they bring you a blanket and they tuck you in bed so you can rest. Your brother bakes muffins and homemade orange juice to help you feel better. You go downstairs and it turns out that your family is throwing you a movie night to make you feel better. That all should mean caring and home! A home is respect. Where you were born and you grew up. You have lots of memories of home. You might have experiences that another family or person might not have. We are all different but we might also have the same experiences. We all may come from different places and we all may have different traditions but the most thing we should all do is respect one another whoever they are and wherever they come from. Imagine if all of us were kind to one another and respectful, we can build a better place of home. A home is where everyone has their place and people and everyone feels safe and they are comfortable. I wanted to thank Habitat for Humanity for building homes for people that really need homes.
