The meaning of home

The meaning of home for me is where you can get loved by your family. My dad shows me he loves me by playing games with me such as ball catching,soccer, laser tag and Roblox. My dad also taught me how to ride a bike, ice skating and fishing. Another way my dad shows me he loves me is by taking us on vacations to Vietnam, Jamaica and Cuba. He also takes me to fun places like the Zoo, Toys R us, Niagara falls, CNE and Great Wolf Lodge, so that we can spend time together as a family. My mom shows me that she loves me by cooking a lot of yummy foods for me. She is good at making pizza,hamburgers,pasta,fish,rice and fried chicken. My mom teaches me how to do homework, write stories and she reads with me. My sister loves me by playing with me. Secondly, the meaning of home to me is that my home makes me feel comfortable because I have all my favourite plushies on my bed to make me sleep well at night. I feel safe in my home because my parents protect me when I feel scared, when I get hurt and they care for me. Lastly, I love my home because it is a place where you can have a roof over your head, so you feel warm and safe when it is snowing, raining and it is a place to keep cool when it is too hot in the summer. I remember one day when there was a huge thunderstorm and it was windy and dark outside. I got so scared, I was thinking that luckily I was inside my house and that I had my parents to cuddle with me. Therefore the meaning of home is where I get to be with my family, a place for me to live in and be happy whenever I come home from going somewhere. This is why my home will always be my home sweet home.
