The Place Called Home: Poem

Did you know, there's this place called home? It's a place where you are healthy. It’s a place where you are steady. It’s a place where you belong. It’s a place where you feel strong. It’s a place where you forgive. It’s a place where your heart lives. When the clouds roll in, When the wind makes you spin, Take shelter in your home. It won’t be a sin. Once you get there, you’ll be safe and sound. There’s no pressure, not even a pound. Home is where you're from, your birthplace basically. You can stay however long you like. Maybe watch some TV. For a good home, you don’t need internet. Not even toys. But what you do need is family and joy. A house is similar, but not the same. Home is fairly different, and it isn’t to blame. Houses are made with wood from a tree. Homes are made with a heart filled with glee. A house can be fancy, large, and pricey. But home is priceless and that's the way it should be. Your home is where you'll do many things. It won’t leave you, it’ll cling. Wherever your heart goes, your home will follow. Your home makes sure that you never feel hollow. If you were to be sad or ashamed, Just go home, and you’ll feel saved.
