Home. The Place to Go

Home. Home is a place to go, a place to grow, a place to live and laugh through the ebbs and flows. Home is a place to light the Menorah and gather around its brightness and warmth. Fathers, aunts, nieces, we are all one heart with many individual pieces. Home is a place to mourn but also a place to celebrate the newly born. At the end of the day each family member will head to bed to rest each weary head, some will dream of money or fame, some will dream of the welfare of others. We have differences but love each and every one another. Home is a place where you all gather around the couch and watch TV. Where you listen to the raindrops smash against the shingles of your roof. You feel lucky because all of that could be gone with just a “Poof!”. What Habitat for Humanity is doing is creating a place for countless families to have memories be made. The homes built are going to be a child’s entire memory and thought of how they grew up. So our schools entry money might not be a lot, but all the entries together will create a bright future for those less who apply for Habitat for Humanity.
