The Feeling of Home

House is a structure with no sentimental feeling Home is a place that feels healing I feel safe with my family who's always by my side They constantly give me pride They never cease to disappoint me Whenever I fall they’ll always take a knee I can always count on them Whenever I need somebody My best friend, my friends, my mom and dad and my brother They’ll never leave my side no matter what happens to others Home is a place that feels comfortable It’s where I feel special and always cuddle I always scribble and where I do my puzzles Where I never struggle and always chuckle Home is where I feel safe It’s where I am always brave and will never be replaced When I'm with my friends I always play It’s where I always stay and use my clay Home is where I grew up And sometimes where I screw up It’s where we were taught right from wrong It’s where the love is always strong Home is my shelter and my community It’s where I do my activities When I am with others in my home It’s like my dome I have a special place there in my shelter It's like a loft but just my bedroom It’s where I have grown and bloomed It’s where I get that extra boost That leads me along the route In my home I have my bedroom It’s like my cocoon It's a space that I can express myself and never be doomed I am very grateful that I have a place that I am able to call home A place that I can come home to every day and feel protected Also a place that will never be replaced A place that will be forever be in my heart and where I have been raised
