Meaning of Home

It is not about what the house looks like on the outside, but the life that is lived in it. Today I will be telling you about what home means to me. Home is a happy place, that I am excited to be in, where my family is and somewhere I can be relaxed and comfortable. No matter is it is big or small, fancy or not, it is the place that I called home. Home is a happy place, that we can share our laughter and joy. Somewhere I am excited to be. It is a place that I don’t have to hide or be scared, and if I am my loved ones will be there. It is where I am surrounded by my family and culture. When I am sad, there is always someone to cheer me up. I can play games and read books, and always be happy to be home. There would be no home without family. Family keeps us together. My mom’s hugs and my dad’s words of encouragement. My brothers jokes and my cat’s meows, are everything that home is. Without it, my home would just be piles of bricks and mortar. A family is forgiving, loving and trusting, and I that to them too. You may fight and yell, be we are family and that is very special. Fuzzy pillows and fluffy blankets mean’s you are home. Not hard floors and dusty walls. Home is where you have your own bed, blankets and things. It’s not just four walls and a roof. It is the happy place that you make memories. Your comfrey bed and the familiar glow of your lamp. Home is where I feel relaxed and free. Home is not just bricks and mortar. It is my happy place that I can be me. A relaxing place that a can curl up at night and my loving and supportive family. Home is not just four walls and some windows. It is more, it is home.
