Belongings and Memories of Home

“A house is made of bricks and beams, but it is so much more.” (source unknown) To me home is not the building it is the stuff, the memories, and the people inside of it. Home is a place where I can always come back to. It will always have my belongings, food, drinks, warmth, and my family. When I am at home, I can be me and no one will judge me. When I am home all my worries just wash away. When I am home, I feel safe and comfortable. I feel more at home because of all my belongings. I love taking a hot bath then go right under my covers and watch my favorite show every night with my dog. I also enjoy baking. Sometimes I will just go downstairs to make muffins just so I have something hot and delicious. When I come home, I can just walk through the door and my shoulders drop because I know that I am safe no one will hurt me or call me names. The people inside of it make me comfortable at home because everyone around me is so kind and caring. I am also lucky enough to have my best friend live right down the street too. Whenever I am sick, she always stops by and makes me something delicious. She is amazing, and I could not imagine my life without her. Alyvia is like my sister. When I am at home I can also be me. I can act normally because I do not have to worry about what other people think, and no one ever judges me for the things I do or say. Drama gets tiring at times but when I'm home it's all gone, and I am worry free. All these reasons are why I love home. Everyone should be able to have belongings, loved ones, and feel safe enough to be happy, and healthy at home.
