My Real Home

Teacher: What does home mean to you? My mind: Home, home, home, home. Hi reader, today I am going to tell you what home truly means to me. I am telling you a true story that happened to me almost two years ago. This story is sad to tell because I miss my homeland. I was a normal child, until February 24th , 2021, it was war in my homeland! Me and my family stayed at my house for two weeks straight, although we herd the bombs, we still stayed there though. Those two weeks were weeks of crying. After two weeks we decided to leave to west Ukraine. We left my two pets behind, a cat and a dog. But we took my other cat because she had a paw injurie. Then we had to leave everything behind and, leave to west Ukraine. The journey was about 5 hours long. While we were traveling , the cities we have already passed got bombed right after we passed them. First night we stayed at a hospital in Poltava. The second night we decided to stay at a preschool. After two days we were at our fist destination. We stayed there for two weeks, and then left of to Moldova (the smallest country in Europe) me and my family stayed there for a month and then left off to Egypt. It was so fun because I got to swim in the red sea almost every day I even had a hobby to collect sea shells from the beach. After about a month we left off to London England. People let us stay at their house because they understood we had nowhere to go. They had two kids they were nice to me although I didn’t speak English. We stayed at their house for three months after we went to Canada and here we are! When I was writing this I knew and know that my true home is not a physical place my true home is people who are always there for me and laugh with me.
