What A Home Means To Me

In my opinion a home doesn't need to have 4 walls and a roof. It's a place where I feel welcomed. It’s a place where my family is and where I make memories! So, what is a home? To start off, my home should be a place where I feel welcome, it should be a place where I can feel important, loved and happy! When I’m at home, there’s lots of laughter and joy, I can feel accepted and valued. When I’m at home my family makes me feel welcomed, happy and appreciated. Speaking of family, it’s time to move on to my second reason, home is where my family is. When I get home from school, my parents are waiting to hear about my day and this makes me feel important. When I’m with my family, I can be myself without anyone judging me and I can talk freely about anything that’s been bothering me and my family will be helpful, kind and understanding. Lastly, a home doesn't need to be a place that I live in, it just needs to be a place where I have many memories! When I walk into my home, I see a wall full of pictures; of memories like the time we went to Bermuda, Barbados, and Florida, etc. These photos are framed along the wall! My dance studio is also my home because I have memories of me winning/losing/etc and how we’re always there for each other. To me, a home doesn't need to be a physical house. It just needs to be where I feel I belong. I know I am home when I feel welcomed, appreciated and loved. This is what I think a home means!
