What Home Means to Me

Home is where my heart is, and my heart is where my home is, a place of love, laughter and memories with family. It is a place where we are not just living but experiencing life and in all its beauty, a place where we can celebrate all of our diverse traditions together, in all its beauty. Home brings together family and carries love with it wearever you go, if we all had a home everyone could feel the same way I do, safe and welcomed. I'm so happy that I have a home, because some people don't so we should all be very grateful. Because a home is like a warm blanket on a cold day, a place where you are separated from the harsh weather and home is a place where you can just be you. Home is the smell of when my grandma's famous kimchi fills the air, when we all sit down on the couch and watch a movie together and gather near the fire, the feeling of my moms warm and loving hug after a long day at school, the taste of my dads delicious Irish stew and hearing the laughter of a family member. That's what home means to me, that's what being cared for and loved for feels like.
