My Home

My Home has a lot of fun things. Like my friends coming over to hang out. My family greets me in the doorway when I come in. My Home has smells. The smell of my mother’s aromatic cooking of chicken biryani with masala and a little bit of salt was perfectly sweet! My Home has sounds. Sounds of my family joking around every day. The sounds of hummingbirds waking me up instead of my alarm clock I thank Habitat for Humanity for building homes for people in need.
