What Home Means to Me

What home means to me is what home needs to be. Filled with warm hugs and messy rooms, home is where flowers bloom, and volcano experiments go “boom!”. Home is a place filled with a warm embrace that no other thing can replace. Home is a place where everyone is safe, but it means even more with no disgrace. Where cultures roam freely, undisturbed, a family is like a happy herd. Powered by love, home is a place with no unjust. When I think of home and family, I realize I'm grateful to have one. We laugh together, cry together and live together. I love my family, even my dog, even if I have to walk him in the fog. Even though we may not show it, home is a wonderful place, and we all know it. Thank you, Habitat for Humanity, for not only giving families a house, but a home where they can feel loved.
