The Meaning Of Home

Home is where the heart is, where you feel comfortable, and people love you. Where you can relax, have nice food to eat, and have a roof over your head. It’s not the walls that make the home, it's the people who’s hearts fill it. The two homes I have include me, my little sister, my mom and my dad. Even though my parents split up 2 years ago now I’ve actually gotten closer with both of them. Me and my sister are as close as it gets, we play together all the time, we’re the first ones to taste the desserts, and we watch Bluey. When I walk in to my houses I can smell freshly made food that wafts in the air like pasta or hot dogs, I can feel the warm embrace of my family from when I wake up to when I go to sleep, I see lots of art work on the walls from the times we went shopping for them, I can hear laughter from when old and new stories have been told, I can taste lots of delicious food that has been made for me that I’ve been eating since I was 2. I’m so lucky to have all of this that all people need like a warm bed, good food, clean water, and a roof over my head to protect me from the cold days of winter that some people suffer through. Some people have none of those things, they don’t have a roof over their heads, they don’t have good food or water and have to sleep on the street. None of those things are good, but if you have family with you along the way it’s easier to get through it. Hope you have a happy, safe place to stay and make sure you have family along the way.
