Home

Home. What does home mean to you? For me, home is where I feel welcome. Home is where I belong. Where my family hugs me tight. Where we eat together. Where we share happy memories. Where we play music together. Piano. Drum. Ukulele. When we sing. When we smile and laugh. Home is where I feel loved. When I am cared for. When I know, my family and friends will always be there. When I know they will always accept me for who I am. No matter what. Home is when I know I can just be me. Home is made up of many things. Like love. Joy. Peace. Happiness. Bravery. Identity. Belonging. Confidence. Everything and everybody that I love. All my hobbies and interests Everything that makes me happy. Everybody that brings me joy. Everything that I will never forget. That I will never let go. They are all parts that piece up my home. Like a puzzle. If one gets broken, or missing or destroyed. I will never recover. I may get over it, but it will always be something missing from my home. A hole in my puzzle. A hole in my heart. Pieces have been destroyed. Pieces have gone missing. But new pieces have found their way into my home. Into my heart. They can never replace the old ones, but they can help me get over it. But no matter what, I will always be at home. Home is something no one can take from me or you. No matter what.
