What Home Means To Me

Home can mean multiple things but still fall under the definition of home. For me home is a beautiful place where everyone can be themselves. Since I really like to play Softball, Hillside park is like a second home to me. Every year there is an invitational tournament there and on Saturday every team wears pink jerseys. The reason is to find a cure for cancer, so every year I write, “I play for my mother” because she had leukemia when she was three. I’m so glad she survived because if Mom and Dad didn’t adopt me I wouldn't have met any of my friends , which is another part of home for me All of my friends are like sisters to me. They're hilarious and also super supportive. I’ve only known my best friend for Five years. I met her while playing house league and we’ve been best friends ever since that day. We both pitch, I sometimes catch for her. I can’t imagine how different it would be if I had never met her. She always finds a way to cheer me up. Some of my other school friends can make a joke about anything. Same with some of my cousins. They are a big part of my life because we have the same interests, we want to go the same places, and love the same sports teams. On my mom’s side I have 7 cousins and on my dad’s side I have 4. Everyone has a different definition of home. What’s yours?
