What is a home?

What is home? Is a question I am asked, But I can not answer this question, For a home's concept is too powerful to grasp. But I will try to answer this question with all my might, Even if my answer is not right. An answer I will give you, an answer I will write! A home is not a house, But they have things in common, Sometimes the difference is like a crumb too small for a mouse. They both keep you shelter but in different ways, One keeps you from storms and the other loves you always. A home is family, A family keeps you strong and picks you off the ground. They’re like cushions to hug, And in no time they’ll get rid of your frown. A home is portable. A house can’t go where you want to be, But a home and follow you or her or me! A home can follow to a whole knew country, It can follow you around the world, Because wherever you are you’ll always have family. I feel home wherever I go Because a home can brace wind, water or snow. A home is community My community are my friends and neighbors Which I say with glory and pride, I feel so comfortable that I feel no need to hide. Unless its hide and seek And still my friends will never cheat No! Not one peek! A home is peaceful, It’s the perfect place to read a book, A graphic novel or a chapter book, It's a wonderful place to cook, Some cookies made with love, And some brownies that taste like they came from above. A home is something everyone should have. So thank you habitat for humanity for giving a house to people in need who then turn it into a home. Giving them a community and sheltering them from heat or snow.
