My Perfect Home

I have two homes because my mom and dad are divorced. You would think this would be hard but I feel that I am blessed to have not just one home but two! It doesn’t matter whose house I am at because I always feel at home whether I’m at my mom’s or my dad’s house. Each home makes me feel at home for different reasons. When I am at my mom’s house, it’s her home cooking, her hugs and all the family we have over that makes me feel at home. When I am at my dad’s house, it’s the fun games we play, watching our favourite sports teams and going for big family walks. My mom’s house is always filled with the scent of food. Her cooking is made with care and is a labor of love. When she’s making fresh pasta, I know she’s doing it so that our bellies are full. It is her way of showing her love for us. We also love having family over and hosting them for big family dinners. I love when we have family over. My favourite thing about my mom’s home is how safe I feel when I am there. Her big hugs always make me feel at ease and that to me is the best part of being in her home. When I am at my dad’s we are always having a good time. My dad’s house is filled with joy whether it’s playing video games together or playing basketball on the driveway. I love being home there because it’s always a good time. Home is where I love to be and I am so lucky to have two homes!
