The Story of Home

"Good night my precious Amy", said my mom. I loved my life here, it was perfect. In the mornings we would search for bananas. It was my favorite part of the day. Our home is where we are altogether, feel safe and can smell the fresh bananas. Say my parents every night. They say when you don't smell the bananas and feel safe you have gone too far. As I was swinging through the trees looking for bananas , I couldn't find any so I went further but found none. Suddenly the trees cut off and a small village appeared. I didn't recognize at all but it looked friendly. I decided to knock on one of the doors. The door opened and a delicious smell came from inside. An old monkey let me inside. I felt safe and it smelled so good, but it didn't feel like home. I walked down the road as I came across another home. I knocked on the door. It was a little girl monkey who opened the door and let me inside. It looked so perfect but it wasn't my home. I continued knocking on every door. Every house felt amazing; it felt safe, warm, peaceful and cozy, but they all didn't feel like home. I continued to walk for miles then suddenly approached trees. I jumped onto them and swung slowly. I smelt something, it was fresh, yummy and familiar. I began to swing faster as I saw my parents. As I hugged them. I realized home isn't just 4 walls and a roof over my head or should I say a tree trunk, it is where your loved ones are, your warm memories are cherished, where you share traditions and most important of all where you feel and call home. The end.
