Home Is My Happy Place

Home is my happy place, from night to day I can feel the sun shining on my face. My home is with me whether I’m going to church, the mall, or getting a shopping haul because home is where the heart is and the heart could be fun, family, or memories. Before we eat we always pray then eat our dessert of Mom’s special creme brulee. As I lay in my bed all snug with my blanket, I turn over to check the time, “Three thirty-nine? I’ve only heard one chime!” “Dad,” I yell, “I can’t go to sleep!” “It’s ok, Julianna, just dream about home and family.” I wake up the next morning feeling loved and safe as I lay in my bed, in my home, my happy place.
