Home Means Love

Some people say home is just a building but there's a difference between a home and a house. A house is a place with walls, rooms and stairs. A home is a place I personally feel loved. Home means feeling a calm cozy warmth as I walk through the door. In my room, I am relaxed. I can do things like dance, draw, review homework. Sing, make bracelets and so much more. Smelling a sweet but salty buttery smell of popcorn and hearing the loud pops, as I relax into my warm, soft cozy pillow with my favorite blanket on my lap. Home means the delight of my family and friends all gathered together and hearing the loud joyful laughter and seeing the happiness on their faces. It's like winning a prize! Home means during the festive holidays looking outside of your window and seeing all of the houses in Baden decorated with big bright shiny lights. Home is where I learned how to ride my first bike. To me, home is waking up to hear the loud cartoons on the television. Home is the joy, happy fun laughter that I hear everyday. The little town Baden is my home, where I can safetly walk down the street as I drink a sweet cold slushie. Home is where I pick my little brother up from school. The kitchen is where I make memories, a place where I feel loved and my family learns to make new dishes, where we eat together and talk, live and laugh. What makes a home for me is the love and memories we make and the happy faces I see everyday. In my home the walls tell a warm-hearted story about how me and my family make memories together. Home is where my heart is.
